How to get to Columba House Hotel Click here for a map of Scotland, and a local map of Kingussie. Kingussie is easily found just off the main A9 route, which weaves its way from Stirling to the North of Scotland. The bus service and trains are on the main line station from London, Edinburgh or Glasgow. Columba House Hotel & Garden Restaurant, Kingussie, Travelling North on the A9 Exit A9 at "Kingussie/Kincraig". Go down the slip road and at the junction turn left. You are now on the A86 (High Street). *Immediately on the left there is a small Close called "The Glebe". Next you will see a modern telephone box, on the left, on the corner of Manse Road. Turn into Manse Road and the Hotel drive is 2nd on the left. The Hotel is at the top of the drive where you will find the private car park at the front of the Hotel. Travelling South on the A9 Exit A9 at "Kingussie" exit. At the junction turn right. You are now on the A86, go under the A9 bridge and go past the slip road for the A9, due north. The directions are now the same as above from *. Travelling by Rail Leave the train at Kingussie. Outside the Station, turn right, cross the road towards the Silver Fjord Hotel. Cross the bridge, over the River Gynack, and carry on down Spey Street. At the end follow the road round to the left and at the High Street turn right. Turn first right into Manse Road. This walk should take no more than 10 mins. If you would like me to arrange a taxi to meet you please advise. Travelling North by Bus Ask the driver to let you off at the second stop in Kingussie not at
the Duke of Gordon Hotel. Turn back towards the modern telephone box on
the opposite side of the Street. Turn into Manse Road where you will see
the Hotel drive. (This bus stop is actually opposite the Hotel.) |
